Hedger - Short Spot
A hedger in a short spot position is worried about:
a) Higher asset prices.
b) Lower asset prices.
If prices fall, a short spot position implies a maximum profit potential equivalent to the price at which the asset was sold. If prices rise, there is an unlimited loss potential.
